la mancha is a little visited but very interesting part of spain.
it's a very suitable place for a cycling holiday aswell, as the place is relatively flat and has many quiet roads with scenic landscapes and very few cars.
the landscape in lamancha is mostly rolling hills with lot's of farmland.
the region has had very little rain in the past few years though and the farmers are having big problems there because of that.
that is one part of the world where the global heating is becoming a big problem.
i was lucky to be cycling la mancha while there was a solar eclipse in october 2005.
i was sitting watching the whole thing in a little olive grove together with a spanish farmer.
very interesting experience.

Atmospheric photos. I'd love to travel La Ruta de Don Quijote.
La Mancha seems very amazing spot for non-touristic travelling. Great pictures!

We just stop today at Consuegra, where the windmills, true is nto as well know as other areas of Spain, even for spanish people! :-)
