"a real goverment city." Washington D.C. by cachaseiro
Washington D.C. Travel Guide: 5,536 reviews and 14,554 photos
washington is one of those goverment cities with lot´s of monuments and museums.
it´s a little hard for me imagining living in that place as everything is very spread out and not particulary charming, but it makes one very interesting daytrip.
i visitied the city twice when i was in baltimore in september 2006 and found it very worth the visit.
- Pros:lot´s of sights.
- Cons:very little soul.
- In a nutshell:worth a visit.

You made me blush then your mooning ducks made me laugh. Thanks for the compliment.
Thinking about your travel karma and how blessed you are makes me smile! : ) I'm doing well, Claus and I adore you for popping in and checking in. Hope you are well and planning more travel! Hugs..
happy vters indeed! And in my case hungover. We should try to find a picture of that crabby chick from the train for an amtrak tip.
Nice page, Claus! You can find a bit of soul in Georgetown or across the river in Alexandria, but overall, your assessment is correct. It's not among the favorite places I've lived. Cheers, Mark
I am not sure that I would enjoy to visit "one of those goverment cities" which are too well ruled!! I prefer wilder places! Anyway, nice page of yours!
Nice little page, I especially like your train trip. Well done ... :-)
The air and space museum looks interesting !
