Lisbon is kinda out of the way in Europe sitting in the south western corner, but It's a gem that you should make sure to visit one day.
In many ways i will compare Lisbon to Barcelona for it's bohemian atmosphere and good nightlife.
After organising the EXPO98 it also enterd the world scene again after many years of being little known and today you find a very nice blend of old history and young vibe.
I have been to lisbon several times and i will be coming back again.

a good reminder that Lisbon was the first City i visited outside africa in the 60"s ;-))) loved Alfama and Chiado.
