Portugals northen city.

Porto is the big city in the north of portugal and a very pretty one too.
the houses there tend to be darker than the south of portugal as they are mostly made from granite.
they are also often coverd in blue and white teils.

Porto is considerd a little more quiet and conservative compared to wild wild lisbon and the people in porto have a reputation for being calmer and less likely to go to extremes.

it´s a place i would really recommend for a long weekend.

Porto sounds to be a lovely place to spend a few days in. I'm looking forward to visit next year.

Good tips, Claus! We are considering going there maybe even this fall!

Makes me want to go back. I think the Dom Luis bridge was built by Gustaf Eiffel. One of the bridges was and that one looks like his work. Nice port wine here, don't you think?
