there is a lot of unspoiled nature there aswell though and the island is very suitable for walking holidays and adventure sports.

I was in Gran Canaria in March and will probably be going there again by the end of this month, lovely place for us who live in the northern countries to visit during the dark, cold months. Regína Hrönn

Had similar experience in Oct05 -MIA/MAD. A 6 hr delay out of MIA had me miss my Spanair connection to LPA. SpanAir was MOST helpful and got me on their next available flt. On the way home, I took one of the Iberia blankets - made me feel a little better.
