  • los amigos backpackers is a very well run hostel that is the perfect place to stay if you are young and social.
it has a very youngish atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and cheerful

Unique Qualities: internet, kitchen, common room, good showers and no lock out are just some of the things that makes this place a very good choice if you don't mind sharing a room with a few other people and like a communal atmosphere.

  • I stayed one night at the hostal dominguez in may 2007 and found that it was just what i needed.
A clean simple room in central Madrid.
No thrills, but a comfy bed and a clean bathroom.
The receptionist was very friendly and took his time helping me with my requests.

Unique Qualities: Good value for the 35 euros i paid for a single room there.

Claus, Madrid is a fantastic place, but I agree with you, one has to stay a few days to really soak up the busy atmosphere. Hey, I was lucky enough to see Real Madrid facing Juventus Turin at Estadio Bernabeau. Keep up the good work. :o)
