horne is a pretty insignificant little village in southern denmark.
apart from a scenic church there would be little to boast about if it wasen´t for the local football club.

horne. f.s. has never produced any great results, but they attract a record number of big clubs due to their enthusiastic leaders who every summer turns the town upside down to accomodate this years football celebs.
every year you will find an interesting game in town involving big teams.

the summer of 2006 the liverpool legends team (a team consisting of famous liverpool players from the past) played against the danish national team of 1986 and the players had dinner and beer with the fans after the game.

among the famous players who have been there are: michael laudrup, bruce grobbelar, sergei barbarez, ronald and frank de boer, didier six, phil neal, amavisca and many many more.

famous players can often be seen as a bit arrogant when they are chased by the world press and the pressure is on, but take them to a small village where the pressure is off and you will see that most of them are very nice guys who are happy to please their fans.

bruce grobbelar also took his time to do a few penalty shots with the local footballers.
