Restaurant Hos Kim.
Hos Kim is one of the most traditionally danish restaurants you will find in Copenhagen.
It´s owned by a very friendly guy called Kim (Kim is a boys name in Denmark) and the name of the restaurant actually means "At Kims".
The food there is traditional danish food like in the good old days and the portions are big.
The food there is very good, especially if you think of the price which is below average for Copenhagen standard.
I have eaten there many times over the past couple of years and should i recommend something then it wuld probaply be some of his herring dishes as that is typical danish and he does it very well.
The restaurant is furnished in pretty old fashioned style tooand looks countryside way in many ways and i mean that in a positive sense.
If you are looking for typical danish food experience while in Copenhagen and do not want to break the bank then i would recommend this place.

A Copenhagen pølsevogn.
Pølsevogn means sussage wagon in danish and they are found all over town, mainly on squares and busy intersections.
They are the traditional danish fastfood where you can buy a hotdog and a few other fastfood items.
This is not the most exotic or healthy food mabye, but it´s as dansih as you get it and you should make a stop there at least once just so that you can say you have done the most danish of all danish things.
Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: They are found all over town where you have lot´s of people passing.
Price: less than US$10

Restaurant Ellas in Copenhagen.
Restaurant Ellas is a nice little greek restaurant in the center of Copenhagen that has some very fair prices.
I often go there for lunch and as we are writing (july 2011) the price for their luch buffet is 58 danish kroner and that is very cheap for Copenhagen standards.
It´s not a huge but a very nice buffet with typical greek dishes and very good salad.
It´s a very casual place and full of people who are having a lunch while they are in town to do shopping.
It´s a nice and quiet place just like i prefer it and normally not noisy or too full of people.

Yummy pancake.
La galette is the place to take kids.
It's a french style restaurant that makes pancakes with various fillings.
The service is good and the prices fairly low for the center of Copenhagen and won't you agree that kids love pancakes?
The place is almost an asterix theme restaurant and the interior is very child friendly too.

India palace.
India palace is a centrally located restaurant that serves good indian food for a price that is a little below average for Copenhagen standards.
When i was there i took the indian buffet they had and i was very satisfied.

Frøken sandwich.
Frøken sandwich is a little cafe that specialises in sandwiches, but also does a good brunch.
It was voted best sandwich place in copenhagen in 2006 so you might just consider paying them a visit so you can see it for yourself.
They have a few tables where you can eat the food or you can buy it as take away too.

Lunch at Nyhavn 17 with fellow vt members.
Nyhavn 17 is situated in Nyhavn as the name suggest.
It serves traditional danish food and a few more international dishes.
This place, like just about all other places in Nyhavn is not the place to go for a cullinary sentation or for a bargain.
You basicly pay for the very scenic location.
The food is not bad, but fairly ordinary, but it´s a good place to meet up with people as it´s easy to find and the location is damn pretty.

Nice seaview from the restaurant.
Restaurant Viva is situated on a houseboat in Copenhagen harbour.
The view is superb and so is the food.
When i was there with 2 vt friends we had a waiter who was very friendly and took his time to explain everything about the food we had.
The food there is danish, when danish food is a little more elegant than the traditional casual danish food.
The price is very fair for a fine dining place and i will certainly return there soon again.
Favorite Dish: When i was there i had weevers which is a fish we have in Denmark, but it´s not common to eat it as it is partly poisonos, but if prepared right then it is very tasty.
I had never tried that kind afish before, so i went for that and i was suprised how good it was.
For desert i chose a cheese plate which was also very good.

La Fiorita, Copenhagen.
Most places in Copenhagen serving italian food are not run by italians and the food is not that authentic for the same reason.
La Fiorita is italian run and a very authentic place though.
Their pizzas are just like you get them in italy and not the deep pan stuff you usually get in Copenhagen.
The place is mainly a take away place, but they have very limited seating space and in the summer they have a couple of tables outsite when the weather is nice.
Address: ahlefeldtsgade 28
Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: La Fiorita is located in the street called "Nansensgade" which is one of the nicer streets in Copenhagen with lot´s of small shops and good cafes.

Price: less than US$10

Vt members poons and igraine at Riz Raz.
Riz raz is a cheap place loceated right in the center of town.
It has mediteranian style food, including a cheap and tasty vegetarian buffet.
If you eat meat they also have good meat dishes.
This place has been a fvorite among backpackers and families for many years, because of their low prices and casual atmosphere.
There are two Riz Raz restaurants in Copenhagen and they are both located one block from the main pedestrian street "Strøget".
Favorite Dish: I always go for the cheap and tasty buffet.
