Roskilde is one of the most interesting towns in denmark for a foreign visitor. The town has the most important cathedral in denmark where all members of the dead people of the royal family are buried and it has the viking ship museum which in my opinion is a must for visitors to denmark. The museum has a lot of work shops too and replicas of viking ships that you can hire with a qualified instructor and go sailing on the fjord.
Roskilde itself is also a very charming little town with cobblestone streets and a few good restaurants and cafes.
Certainly woth a day or two when you are in denmark. |

Well done ... :o) | sachara Fri Sep 7, 2007 23:14 UTC Hi Claus, great sailing trip in the viking ship! It looked to me a nice occasion to come to Denmark to join you guys, but it was in the same weekend as my favourite Full Colour Festival in Emmen. |
