"Dead kings and viking ships" Roskilde by cachaseiro
Roskilde Travel Guide: 210 reviews and 692 photos
Roskilde is one of the most interesting towns in denmark for a foreign visitor.
The town has the most important cathedral in denmark where all members of the dead people of the royal family are buried and it has the viking ship museum which in my opinion is a must for visitors to denmark.
The museum has a lot of work shops too and replicas of viking ships that you can hire with a qualified instructor and go sailing on the fjord.
Roskilde itself is also a very charming little town with cobblestone streets and a few good restaurants and cafes.
Certainly woth a day or two when you are in Denmark.

everyone seems to stay at the same hostel in Roskilde! :)
Improbably.... So many countries and all by bicycle....
By the way... Old Slavic boats remind boats of Vikings.
I like this Vikingship ! In sommer 2012 I will tour around Scandinavia again ! ;0)
Great tip on Viking Ship Museum! Thanks for visiting my Pasewalk page. I'm sure you would enjoy to bicycle the Uckermark!

Claus, fabulous little page about your international meeting. I didn't know that obviously everybody has a bit of a viking soul. Well done ... :o)
Hi Claus, great sailing trip in the viking ship! It looked to me a nice occasion to come to Denmark to join you guys, but it was in the same weekend as my favourite Full Colour Festival in Emmen.
