Sao Joao del Rei.

Sao Joao del rei is located in the southern part of Minas Gerais and a nice town with quite a few colonial buildings aswell as churches and museums.
It´s a good base for exploring nearby towns such as Tiradentes and Bichinho and hotels often have good deals there compared to the other two towns just mentioned.
