Don Khong Travel Guide: 28 reviews and 90 photos

Don khong is the largest river island in Laos and is located in the Mekong river just before the border to Cambodia.
It´s a nice place to hang out for a few days and chill out.
The pace of life is very slow there and it´s the perfect place to slow down speed for a while.
There are quite a few people living on the island so it´s not like you are on some resort island, but you are among local laotians who make a living mainly from fishing in the river and agriculture.
And in recent years they have started getting a nice income from tourism too.

I only ate minced frogs. It's not so unusal food for us, since they eat then in Slo. too. Good that people try something different :)

Hey Bud! Yep, frog would be a bit of a bad taste. Any local beer tips?
