Shelbyville Travel Guide: 5 reviews and 4 photos

Shelbyville is the largest town between Louisville and Frankfort, and really it's kind of quaint-looking if you drive through the central part of the town. Even the residential section is nice, with its nice, large homes and tree-lined streets. The outskirts of town, unfortunately, are like many smaller towns in the U.S. -- full of Wal-marts, K-marts, McDonald's, new gas stations, and other chain businesses -- which is not a very welcoming entrance into the town. Rest assured though, Shelbyville is not large, so if you're driving on anything other than the interstate, you'll pass by large fields and horse farms almost right to the city limit!

We were really looking forward to visiting this ranch and restaurant. After a really long drive we were only to find and empty building with a closed for business sign and no buffalo any where in sight. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR GAS!!!!!!
