Indianapolis is commonly called "Indy," at least around here and where I go to school, which is an hour north of here. Indianapolis really is a nice city, kind of an oasis between Louisville and Chicago, and really the crossroads of nearly every interstate that passes through Indiana (hence a state nickname of "Crossroads of America." At any rate, there is plenty to do here, and I believe it to be an overlooked city for just kicking around. Ok, also, I suppose I can't get away without mentioning it... but of course this is also the home of the Indianapolis 500, the huge and famous NASCAR race. I'm not into racing, so I'm just going to leave it at that.
