I've been to New York and L.A., and they just can't compare with Chicago. Sorry. I find myself back here pretty often (and lived there this summer). I love the architecture and uniqueness of the skyscrapers... the Sear's Tower, the Hancock Building, etc. There's culture to be had everywhere with little hole-in-the-wall ethnic restaurants to a true treat - Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. There are museums scattered along the lakefront... Museum of Science & Industry, Shedd Aquarium, and so on. And a gorgeous lakefront.. of course! Don't forget Shopping... there are too many places to name on Michigan Ave. And Christmastime is unforgettable in this city! Lastly, the thrill of being Chicago... people rushing all over the place, subways, the El, taxis, traffic, nightlife, music, food... Excuse my pictures on this page. I took most of these when I was 14, with a horrible camera, and when it was cloudy. By the way, I do think Chicago has the best skyline... although it's pretty long and I obviously couldn't get it all in with the above picture. |
