I grew up in Hong Kong and went abroad for university.
While away from HK, I missed the city a lot and especially the yummy chinese food!!! :)
When I came back for holidays, I became sensitive to things I didn't care much about when I used to live in HK. Things such as the tram, Star Ferry, HK's skyline...
It made me look differently at HK. It's sure that you know your country best after having lived abroad...
It's great everytime I come back to HK. Although I don't live here anymore, this is the place where I feel the most at home. I guess it makes sense... I update everytime I think of something interesting to say and don't forget to take a look at my travelogues... |
Things I like about Hong Kong, in no particular order :
- Riding on trams and Star Ferry
- Shopping at 10 PM
- Eating real good cantonese food & seafood
- Feeling secure when going home at 4 AM
- Eating a noodle soup in the middle of the afternoon
- Admiring the magic skyline of HK, especially at night
- Walking on busy streets at night
- Wandering in Victoria Park during Mid-Autumn Festival
- Going to open-air markets
- Riding on the most efficient & clean metro in the world | | | HK lights up to welcome Christmas ! |
