I have always wanted to visit the Scandinavian coutries, it was more on a long term basis, meaning that I knew I would eventually go there one day. It wasn't something I wanted to do right away like I would want to visit China for instance.

The opportunity then came in November 2001. I have kept in touch with friends I've met during my exchange program in the US. One of them, TUNDE, is from Sweden and we promised to visit each other when we got back to our respective countries. As she couldn't come to visit me in Paris, I flew to Sweden instead...

She lives in a college town in the South of Sweden called Lund. The campus is lovely ! I stayed there a week and I really enjoyed my time in Sweden. It's such a beautiful country ! I went to Goteborg on a day trip and it's a shame that I didn't make it to Stockholm because of time and money problems... That would be for next time !!

The picture shows a street in Goteborg. I thought it was pretty characteristic of Swedish architecture.
