I had previously spent 2 days in Barcelona during summer 2002. Ever since, I thought that I haven't seen everything this wonderful city has to offer and only wanted to go back.
The opportunity came in June 2003 and I got to spend 5 days over there. The weather was simply gorgeous, it was sunny yet not too hot during the whole trip and it sure made the stay much more enjoyable.
Furthermore, the weather was great to walk around the city and we really did walk a lot.
I decided to go to Barcelona about 10 days before and had lots of problems finding a place to stay in. So an advice : make sure you book your room well ahead of time !!

I've heard a lot of good things about Barcelona before and it made me want to visit this city. If someone asked me to name the only city I want to visit in Spain, it would be, without doubt, BARCELONA.
Before going, I've read the travel guide and saw pictures. It made me more look forward to this trip.
We rented a house in Empuriabrava (Costa Brava) and we visited Barcelona twice, on a day-trip basis. That is of course not enough and there a so many things I didn't get to see unfortunately.
I really intend on going back there. It would be nice to spend a week-end there... |

i have to confess that i was amazed when i lived in bcn that the beach was only 20 minutes from my place by bus! finally i never went cause it was sooooo crowded!only late....late |
