Konstanz is the biggest city at the Bodensee which is in English even called Lake Constance. The Bodensee is the biggest lake of Germany - but hard to say of Germany, as it is forming the border between Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
In Konstanz the Rhine river leaves the lake on its way to the North Sea.

With a special wind blowing fare away in Austria, the horizon behind the lake is crowned by the Alpes. Although I'm living here now for 7 years, this view can still bring the tears in my eyes. Probably because you don't see the alpes always, and especially the first glance at them after the winter makes me really feeling great (see also Warnings or Dangers).
