One of the first place I visited in a touristy whim was Sydney Zoo. On this day I took the ferry from Circular Quay and as I was a tourist, it had to be the one with commentry tour of the harbour. The lady spoke mostly about all the famous people living around the harbour and how much the houses cost so you could say it was more like a real estate tour :)
When I got to the Zoo I was told there was special discount day, it was just $10 to enter! I took a cable car up to the Zoo and had a look around. It is in a spectacular setting with the Harbour Bridge and Opera house as a backdrop.
And then I came across a Condor - yes a 5 month old Condor that was the first one successfully bred in the Zoo since 1975! It was huge and was allowed in an open place as it couldn't fly yet - although it tried!! 3 nice zoo keepers kept it away from the punters but it did get close to a little child, it would have ate him!
