Favorite Dish: This colonial tavern catered to Virginia's gentry and the politically influential before, during and after the Revolution. Dine on 18th-century delicacies such as Oyster-Stuffed Filet Mignon, Roast Prime Rib of Beef, Cavalier's Lamb, and traditional King's Arms favorites Peanut Soup and Game Pie.

The Cheese Shop: The Cheese Shop

With a great assortment of cheeses, meats, and breads, along with an extensive wine cellar and beer selection, the Cheese Shop of Williamsburg is my number pick for Lunch.

Favorite Dish: Bread ends and House Dressing. You can also get a sandwitch, but for a quick cheap meal, you can't beat this. The bread ends are $0.75, and the dressing is $1.59. This will feed two people!!!

Favorite Dish: If you like Chocolate, then be prepared to be amazed. Death by Chocolate is a 7 layer fudge cake that will make your teeth rot right before your eyes...I LOVE IT!!!! The menu is contemporary American style food. Very very good service as well as killer wine list.
Two thumbs up!!

Another colonial tavern, so be prepared for waiters and waitresses in costume, and strolling balladeers.

This tavern has the most "Child Friendly" menu if all of the taverns...So if you have cildren that are a little picky about food, this tavern is for you.

Favorite Dish: Dishes served at Shield's Tavern are inspired by recipes in classic 18th and early 19th-century cookbooks. The menu and daily specials reflect seasonal changes, incorporating the freshest ingredients available from the Chesapeake Bay, nearby rivers and local farms throughout Virginia's tidewater area

This is a Colonial Tavern in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg, and was George Washington's favorite. The waiters and Waitresses are dressed in period clothing, and strolling balladeers play music while you enjoy the food.

Favorite Dish: Campbell's specializes in seafood. Grilled seafood dishes are balanced with regional favorites such as Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and Muddle - a tomato-based stew of shrimp, scallops and fish fillets. Chicken Imperial and Filet Mignon are also offered. The entrees are complemented by long-time tavern favorites: Campbell's Cabbage Slaw, Spoon Bread, and Sweet Potato Muffins

Hot Holly - Williamsburg
College Deli: Hot Holly

Kind of a dive, but has been serving up delicious Hot Hollys (french bread, turkey, roast beef, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo) and hand battered Onion Rings since before I was born.

DELICIOUS!!!

If you are not up for fine...

If you are not up for fine Colonial Cuisine, a short ride down Richmond Road about 2 miles and you will find any chain restaurant you can think of.

Bayroom at the Williamsburg Lodge: Seafood Feast

For a fair price, you can enjoy the Bay Feast at the Williamsburg Lodge on Friday Nights. Healthy portions of local seafood are served in colonial fashion as you sit and enjoy the atmosphere of the Williamsburg Lodge's award winning Bayroom.

Book in advance.

Favorite Dish: Ummm...the seafood, all of it!!
