I spent close to a week in Cruz Bay, not as a tourist, but as a potential resident. I was there looking for property to buy. It gives a totally different perspective on a place. I had been to St John before, but always to go to the beaches. The people are great and I knew I was fitting in when I was not approached by the taxi drivers as soon as I stepped off the ferry from Red Hook. Being there more on business than pleasure meant I didn't do any night life (I had to be up and not hung over the following day), but I did find a couple of very nice restaurants.
