If you're interested in spending a fun day with the family, then Zoomarine is the place for you. Just outside the well known town of Albufeira, Zoomarine has a wide range of shows and will make you spend a very entertaining day with the family.
Dolphin shows, seal, parrots, sea lions, small pools for children to have fun, a giant wheel, restaurants, the usual in such parks, but it's a very nice place and well organized.
The dolphin show is a lot of fun and has many original elements.

One of the most known places in Algar Seco is the 'boneca' (doll, in english). The rock formation got that name because from the outside, it suposedly seems as if it's shaped like a little girl's head.

Near Carvoeiro, there's a beautiful place which is called 'Algar Seco'. It's a location with very interesting rock formations, some underwater caves, good fishing spots, 1 or 2 restaurants...a beautiful place well worth the visit.

One of my favorite spots in the Algarve is Lagoa, just outside Portimão. It has a small lovely beach (Praia dos Caneiros) which usually isn't too crowded (except August)
