I went to Rome in 1999 and will be going again this year. It is definetely the Eternal City and I guess that Trevi Fountain thing works, because I am headed back. There are thousands of years of history lined up in a row with 1st Century and 20th Century buildings adjacent to each other. You can see the passage of time so clearly here. Artisans have always flocked here and are still doing so as you can see here.
