Luggage And Bags: It doesn't matter which kind of luggages or bags you'll bring :) But the best, what you can do for walking through downtown, is to take some backpack in which you can wear a bottle of water.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Clothes depend on the season and current weather. Prague has all 4 seasons so for winter: bring warm clothes such as coats, winter shoes, warm hats and gloves - it is snowing and freezing in the winter. For spring: umbrella!!!, jacket, both warm and 'summer' kinds of shoes, pants and shorts, sun glasses and hats. For summer: umbrella, summer clothes, hats, sun glasses, bag for bottle of water. For autumn: umbrella, pants, sun glasses, hats, gloves, jackets
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: If you'll live in hotel, you don't have to bring anything (except your toothpaste and toothbrush, but can buy it there).
Photo Equipment: Be sure to bring cameras and enough number of films and tapes!!! You'll use them all and these items are not cheap over there.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Bring sun glasses and all sorts of hats. For the summer and spring you'll maybe need sun lotion.
Miscellaneous: Be sure to bring dictionaries and maps. You can get maps in any information store. You'll need dictionary :)
