I lived in Edmonton for 6 months. EDMONTON ROCKS!!!!!
Go see an Oiler's game - the fans are the best hockey fans in the world! Hang out on Whyte Ave, see a play, check out one of their many festivals in the summer (Fringe fest was my fav), explore their bike/walking paths.
Oh, why did I ever leave to go back to Montreal??? Oh yeah, I was home sick after 4 yrs away :(
I went to Medicine Hat, Camrose, Wabumum, Jasper...
