Meals by arrangement.

Lake Wakatipu and Remarkable Mtns - New Zealand

Lake Wakatipu and Remarkable Mtns

NOVOTEL - now known as Mercure Queenstown.: Truly Stunning Scenery!

Comfortable, clean, friendly and what you would expect of a middle to up market hotel. The staff are willing to help and you enjoy a very pleasant rest here, it is not in the middle of town, so away from the noise of late nite revellers.

Unique Qualities: The lounge is amazing, plenty of comfortable seats, lovely big fire, and one wall is completely glass with the lake and mountains in view - truly amazing. Just sitting there writing postcards and letters is a very enjoyable experience.
The dining room has this wonderful view too, out these huge glass windows, overlooking the lake and mountains. Just superb!!

Directions: Head through town and follow the signs to Glenorchy, and just out of town the sign points to Fernhill on the right up a hill.

Holiday park cabins.: Camp grounds and holiday parks.

One of our best kept secrets!
I particularly want to mention Holiday park Cabins with ensuites here. This is an option worth considering if you are a little bit flexible. Cooking facilities are campground or minimal in the cabins, however if you don't mind eating out, this is a very price attractive option for accommodation.

Address: Various locations around the country.

Comparison: less expensive than average

Directions: Check the website for location on your route.

Price: less than US$20
