Here is the magnificent new face of LA. The Walt Disney Concert Hall, resplendent in all it's glory under the Californian sunshine.
I'm glad I don't listen to people who told me LA is a big horrible smelly city. I enjoyed every minute of being here and was suitably impressed with the place.
Sure the freeways can lock up and cause delays, but locals seem to get around that and I noticed that you can get off the freeway as soon as you get on if you see the gridlock. Makes sense and is smart whereas other places I've been to once you turn on the Onramp, you are stuck with the freeway until the next exit which could be a while.
The hills surrounding LA are really nice, and there is blue sky here afterall. The smog (Or "haze" as the locals prefer to call it!) has vastly decreased since I was last here in the early 80's. This is a credit to the authorities and proves measures taken are effective.
The trees are lovely and the Malls are to die for!! Not to mention the beaches!!!
Check out the maddness at
Manhattan Beach.
