Pasaraya Grande and Pasaraya Manggarai: This is a shopping centre not a single shop.

  • Name of Shop: Pasaraya Grande and Pasaraya Manggarai

Ask my daughter about this place, it is a shopper's paradise. For a young teenager, she was practically hyperventilating just with the atmosphere, not to mention all the glittery shops selling absolutely everything!!

    Also:
    Pasaraya Manggarai,
    Jl Sultan Agung,
    South Jakarta.

    What To Buy: Everything!!
Clothes, lovely cotton clothes. Jewellery. CD's, just everything imaginable.

What To Pay: We found it cheap with our exchange rate, but depends on your currency. however I don't think anything is ever expensive in Indonesia.

Address: Jl Iskandarsyah II No 2, Kebayoran Boru, Blok M.
    Directions: Jakarta 12160.

Easiest to get a cab and ask for Pasaraya, as navigation in this city is impossible for a visitor!!
The telephone operators speak both Bahasa Indonesian and English.
    The stores are open 10am - 10pm 7 days a week.

Pam- interesting page on Indonesia- with good photos. I would love to see a Komodo Dragon. They look so pre-historic. In summer here in Sydney(Milsons Point) we have flying cockies coming in the windows Lol!
