INDONESIA

by kiwi - last update: Sep 4, 2003

When someone in the family intermarries with another culture it makes a bond between those countries.
Here you see my daughter and her Indonesian cousin enjoying time together.
I really like the cane furniture in Indonesia, and the hardwood furniture too. Both these are not so common in my country. The same can be said about the lovely tile and marble floors. But it all has something to do with the very hot climate in Indonesia.
A very interesting website to visit is the Department of Indonesian Culture and Tourism.

Pros:"Cultural diversity, beautiful scenery, doesn't get cold!"
Cons:"Overcrowded, sometimes dirty, very hot."
In A Nutshell:"Very large, complex and interesting country."

Pam- interesting page on Indonesia- with good photos. I would love to see a Komodo Dragon. They look so pre-historic. In summer here in Sydney(Milsons Point) we have flying cockies coming in the windows Lol!
