Water Taxis in the Abel Tasman Nat'l Park

When you get to Marahau, you can take a water taxi into the park, either to a dropoff point of your choice, or to the Awaroa Lodge. On the trip to the Lodge, we stopped at a couple of bays and did a little bit of sightseeing, including looking at seals.

To get down to Abel Tasman from the North Island.

We took the fast ferry "Lynx" to get from Wellington to Picton, taking our car across with us. Then we drove to Marahau to catch our Water Taxi into the Park.
I thoroughly recommend the Lynx for speed and comfort, although it is more expensive than the regular Interisland Ferry.
