  • Really pleasant, nice rooms, pleasant view over the racecourse. Don't have that city hemmed in feeling, few gardens and parks around, really nice.

Great Conference facilities in this hotel.

Unique Qualities: Away from central city bussle, but really accessible, just a short taxi ride to the city.
Double Tree Bar on the Ground Floor is open 11.00am until late evening. You can get light meals here throughout the day. Servings are very generous!!

Acacia Restaurant just across the hall from the Double Tree Bar, is very pleasant, and the food of high standard.
    Breakfast: 6am - 10.30am (weekends 6am - 11am)
    Dinner: 6pm - 10pm 7 days a la carte.

The breakfast, which was included in the price, was superb. Continental style or English cooked style. Plenty of nice food!!

Of course! Silly me! Yes-deposit paid. Flights are booked. AND I'm planning on heading out your way in 2009-probably late January for 3 weeks. Hoping I can cover the main sights in that time-can't commit to more annual leave. Gillybob greetings

thanks a lot Pam for the suggestions and pics! I´m looking into moving to parnell and this has definitely encouraged me to do so :-)

Thanks for the tips Pam. I might go there for my honeymoon, Jan. of next year. Free city circuit bus is interesting just like the free city circle tram of Melbourne.
