"Te Aroha" Te Aroha by kiwi
Te Aroha Travel Guide: 17 reviews and 56 photos
Te Aroha is a lovely little town nestled under the peak of the Kaimai Range, Mt Te Aroha.
The old shops have been painted and kept tidy, here they are under the weather of the mountain.
The town clock is rather imposing in the main central area.
Caffe Banco and Bar.
- Pros:Green, small, friendly.
- Cons:On the way to nowhere, and in the shadow.
- In a nutshell:Small town in the shadow of the mountain.

Good on yer, Pam, doing a page about the place I was born! In fact, I drew my first breath in the maternity home just beside the Waihou River near the bridge in your pic. I believe it is now a rest home! cheers, Roger
Cool you have a 1712 Renatus Harris organ in Kiwi land that is really something. Nice indoor photo work Kiwi. Can you have a repeat of the famous Battle of the Organs in 1684 in NZ -- is there any made by his hated rival "Father" Bernard Smith.
Mt Te Aroha and the Kaimais were just mentioned on the radio - snow falling heavily down to 600 meters. I didn't even know about this town - I'd love to take a proper look around one day. I think it's a sunny day place..
Our uncle lived many years in Te Aroha and we visited this little town twice. Never thought to see anything about it on VT.
Why oh why NZ is sooo far away ? So many nices places. So good there are your pages.
Smashing page!
Yes, Te Aroha is lovely. Best wishes Nada
Wierd !
Nice place, I like the Café.
And there I was thinking it was an ironic pub! Hopefully no barbed wire on the toilet seat ... :-)
