Bangalow is a lovely old working town, taking you back in time. It's a rare example of an intact Federation town for this part of the country. Situated between Lismore and Byron Bay, in Northern New South Wales, it is about 780kms north of Sydney. Although agriculture has been the traditional backbone of this area, Bangalow is now enjoying a tourist industry, to view it's atmosphere. The permanent population is less than 1000 but it has bustling mainstreet of funky cafés and boutique shops.

Once on the Pacific Highway, Bangalow has now been bypassed. Located on the crossing of that highway and the main road between Byron Bay and Lismore. Of course, now it is rid of the highway traffic, and is a lovely 45 min drive from the Gold Coast. Just 13 kilometers from Byron Bay (Australia's most Eastern point) and 32 kilometers from Lismore.

    gorgeous little spot - and you would probably get to meet Bangalow Bill at the market.
