This is the teaching hotel for Cornell students. I understand this is the best hotel school in the world. This service is great, and they have a variety of room types (suites, regular, etc).

As for dining options, they have about 5 choices ranging from a cafe (with Starbucks!) to a full restaurant to a lounge. Often, restaurant management students will be working as well.

Unique Qualities: Since this is on the Cornell Campus which, since it's way up a hill, offers an outstanding view of the city of Ithaca, Cayuga Lake, and the surrounding hills.

There is a fitness center, computer ports, etc, but no swimming pool, which I think is the only negative part of the hotel, as far as I'm concerned -- but there's so much to do in Ithaca, it's ok. You can swim at Cayuga Lake if you really need to swim!

Walk a gorge trail yards from the porch, step down the street to a fine restaurant, or hop to one of Ithaca's two major college campuses within minutes. You can enjoy breakfast with other guests, or in private. Play piano, watch movies or TV, work out on a treadmill, sit and read, or just enjoy the view.

Unique Qualities: Situated atop Ithaca's South Hill, the Coddington offers convenient access to both Cornell University and Ithaca College. IC is a short walk away, or pop over to Cornell in just a few minutes.

Two of Ithaca's finest restaurants are right nearby, and we have a laundromat, gas station and convenience store, pizzeria, and bus stop close by. Meanwhile, your hostess will see to your every need, and guide you through activity choices and information about the area.

All three of the suites at the Coddington enjoy a private bath, ample closet space, refrigerators, and space to spread out in adjacent TV sitting areas. Two of the suites are perfect for families, accommodating four to eight; two have private entrances; and each has an adjacent kitchen or microwave oven. Our living areas also feature exercise equipment and a piano.

Regardless of which suite you stay in, you'll find a surprising amount of relaxing elbow room, and of course, a great view!
