  • I would recommend this place to anyone, despite the name! ;)

I stayed here when I came to interview for my job, and it was a great experience. It's a charming bed and breakfast with spacious bedrooms, great decorations, reading corners, an enclosed porch, and very nice owners! (Rumor is, though, that ownership has changed).

They have several "common rooms" for use by guests such as reading nooks, a living room with a tv and phone, and a beautiful porch with lots of information about things to do in the local area.

Unique Qualities: When I was there, the owners only served vegetarian meals, although they did have a range of tofu breakfast "meats" - sausage, etc that tasted great.

The B-n-B is on the hill heading out of town -- but the town is so small that it only takes 5 minutes to walk down into the heart of Wolfeboro. There are plenty of places to eat within a 10 minute stroll - everything from sandwich shops/cafes to full-scale restaurants on the water.

Even though this is on the main street, it's very quiet.

Yes, I have to say that's the first tip I've seen relevant to stamp collectors! Thank you for sharing.

"Dead in the winter" ? Try Waterville Valley. When I was there the population was 52 after 8 PM and into 10,000 during the day....

Mocha coffee, a good bookshop, yummy choccies & beautiful water views. Sounds like my kind of summer place. Any skiing (downhill) nearby in winter time?

Wolfeboro is the prettiest little town! I love those shops on the main street. Even without pictures your page brings back warm memories. Thanks for sharing.
