""The Alice"" Alice Springs by kooka3

I spent a couple days in Alice Springs - The Alice - but at that point, unfortunately wasn't completely impressed with the town itself. I was traveling with someone who wasn't completely adventurous, and we also didn't have a car to get to some of the out-laying areas. I think that if I had seen AS in a different way, I might have been impressed. Some day I'll have to go back!

We spent about 2 full days in town and then spent 5 days on a camping tour to places like Kings Canyon, Uluru, the McDonnell Ranges, and the Olgas. As a town, but it was worth a look around since I was touring the Centre. It's an interesting place, and there are some things to do, but you don't need to plan on being in town for a long time. It is a great place to start tours or to stop for a day or 2 of you are travelling through but it isn't really a stop by itself. If you are there, though, check out some of the things there.
