I spent some days in Dhaka, Bangladesh in may 1999. It was mostly business, but I managed to see a little of the city also. Including a trip on the river. It's a country with a lot of water, something the people living there discovers a little to often. Floods are frequent there. Maybe an idea to check the conditions before you leave.
