Visiting Niagara Falls and environs Now, Niagara Falls isn't in Toronto, but everyone, and I mean EVERYONE that visits Toronto, if it's their first time here, will make or at least try to make the trek to Niagara Falls. If not, they're just not the quintessential traveler. I mean, the Niagara Falls is one of the world's natural wonders. From gambling at Casino Niagara to visiting Clifton Hill the tacky but admittedly amusing part of the city, there is so much to see and do in Niagara falls. Take a trip and see the falls up close by riding the Maid of the Mist or view it from a bird's perspective by taking a trip to the top of the Skylon tower. Hungry? Hard Rock Cafe enthusiasts will find a restaurant here and for those with kids, entertain them by taking them to Rainforest Cafe. Wine enthusiast may want to take a trip along the Niagara Peninsula and visit the various wineries and vineyards. The Niagara Wine Region is known to have excellent award winning wines. You can also get some duty free shopping done while you're here.

CNE Also known as the Canadian National Exhibition or The Ex The CNE is an annual outing that I never miss. It takes place on the Exhibition Fairgrounds, by Ontario Place. A huge carnival, it has rides, games, a horticultural show, international exhibits and international shopping kiosks, loads of foods.... THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO!

Queen Street West is one of those streets every city should have. It's a street for the uncommon, for the trendy, for the hip. It's also great in the way of neat finds and unusual souveniers. Toronto's very own Much Music tv station is located on Queen West and you may just catch a glimpse of some famous person doing an interview. Also there are tons of great stores, from Caban, to Lush, to small boutiques that have the funkiest stuff. For those adults with a sense of humour, try visiting the Condom Shack to find those off-the-wall adult souveniers. In the way of food, a personal favourite is Queen Mother Café and Tortilla Flats. (Tortilla Flats has a great combo platter). In the summer Peter Pan and Tortilla Flats have the best patios IMO. Live music? Check out the Rex, 360, Rivoli and Bamboo. Queen West is a hop skip and a jump away from the theatre and club district of Toronto.
