Go and visit San Francisco Bay's most infamous island, the prison is an eerie place but definitely worth seeing. Ferries leave from Pier 41 and the price, which optionally includes an audio tour courtesy of a headset, is reasonable. Island hopping tours including Alcatraz, are also available. Walk into one of the isolation cells for a real spine-chilling experience!

On Sundays and Public Holidays sections of the roads through the Golden Gate Park are closed off to Traffic, and the place becomes a mecca for cyclists, Rollerbladers and Skateboarders. in the middle of all this around 6th avenue, people gather for a disco on roller blades. this is great fun to watch and if you feel up to it i'd imagine its even better to participate. Some of the skaters are very good and its all great entertainment and free!

Chinatown is an interesting part of San Francisco, and an ideal place if you're shopping for souvenirs. It has lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, and electronics shops. I bought my digital camera here as well.
