Catch a ferry or the RiverCat, they take you to plenty of destinations, run frequently and are pretty cheap. You can get up the Parramatta River, past Homebush to Parramatta itself which is mainly a business area, but has plenty of restaurants and a good visitor centre. Good shopping centre with a great food mall of various types of food at inexpensive prices Circular Quay is a fantastic hub of ferries, Rail and the City

Try a visit to the Jenolan Caves. There are 10 Cave tours to chose from, with varying levels of difficulty. The Countryside around it is ace too. A nice drive from Sydney

Featherdale Wildlife Park is a really friendly hands on type of Zoo, great for the kids as they can get to feed the Kangeroos and Wallabies. :) Theres less friendly Critters too, like Saltwater and Freshwater crocs! Not too big and in a Natural Environment.

Get to see The Blue Mountains. They really are a must see. The most popular destination is Katoomba (The Three Sisters). There are 3 choices of viewing-The Scenic Railway (very steep) The Skyway Cable Car (Very High) and The newest one the Scenic Skyrider (Least Hairy!) There's a rotating restaurant by the cable car ride as well-neat :) Unique wildlife and Countryside. Theres some great walks around here, get down to the bottom of the Valley where you are overlooked by the Three Sisters.

This is a really great area of Sydney, its full of Bars and Restaurants. There are often street entertainers performing, some are pretty good. The Aquarium and the Maritime Museum are here too. Alsy the G-Max cinema. Cockle Bay Wharf is the other side of the water, theres plenty to eat and drink there too :))

Go for a ride on the Aussie Duck! It only operates on weekends, but is a really great way to see Sydney from the water and land! Amphibious landing craft, great fun for kids big and small!
