"Where the most popular Hessian Beer comes from" Lich by Weissdorn
Lich Travel Guide: 16 reviews and 21 photos
Most Hessian men start to smile when you mention the town of Lich. That's where the one of the most popular Hessian beers is brewed; called Licher Bier. Aside from the lovely half-timbered houses, you shouldn't miss a trip to the brewery, which is the most successful private brewery in Germany. You can make an appointment to visit the brewery here.
To get to Lich from Gruenberg, just take the Bismarckstrasse leaving Gruenberg and keep driving along the "Fachwerkstrasse" for 14 km until you reach Lich.
TRY a new road in Germany! If you want to see some of the most interesting half-timbered houses in Germany, try the TRAVELOGE The Half-Timbered House Road for a DIFFERENT ROAD to travel in Germany.

The "BEST" beer in all of Germany!! Wish I could get it here in the USA I made many trips to the brewery and loved my time over there :-)
Hello Celeste! Happy Birthday from Finland! I've never herd of Lich before but the way you describe it and with your photos I know I must get there one day! Cheers, Sini
All the best greetings to Frankfurt, almost 'the heart of nature'.... ;) Toll, dass Du so viel aus Hessen ins VT gebracht hast! Danke, Christian.
Nice that you did a page on Lich - a lot of history there and well presented. Interesting info on the Monastery. I like this area, well done with your page.
This is VT's first and only Lich page. Very nice! I have included a link to it (two, actually) in VT's first and only Giessen page. Hope you approve!
I knew there was more to Lich than the Pils and you have more than amptly demonstrated that. Though after reading through all of these tips I still find myself strangely a bit thirsty?! ;-]
