Hello!
I live in a village just outside Oxford, and I reckon theres enough good Oxford pages on VT- barryg23, krystynn, and EDWINADOLLY have some excellent ones....
So I'm going to write a bit about Oxfordshire village life. Theres so many really nice places outside the city itself, that I think you should set at least a day aside for if you are in Oxford for a while.
Abingdon is really nice, especially if you go on a Thursday, for the market day. Then maybe go for a drink in a pub garden, such as the Nag's Head, which is on a little Island in the middle of the Thames. It has a real great history too, which you can learn about in the museum if thats your cup of tea. Speaking of which thats another nice thing about Abingdon- its not in the slightest bit Americanised and has tea-rooms instead of a Starbucks on every corner.
Also Stowe, Burford, Lower and Upper Slaughter (no joke!) and Witney are nice just for a look around. Its just I live in Abingdon, so I'll base this on Abingdon and surroundings.
