Ettal is just a small village between Oberammergau and Oberau in the Bavarian Alps. But it offers a great monastery which should be NOT missed when on tour in this part of Bavaria ....

The Ettal Monastery is simply great; years ago I spent three days in the region and especially enjoyed the beer! Thanx for bringing back great memories;

Can't believe I was so close to this area. The church is fabulous with a really rich interior. Amazing that such a masterpiece was built in such a small village. Wish I'd known.
