Bled is very famous for its lake and the island on it! Of corse this is one of the most scenic and picturesque places in Slovenia.

There is also a great castle on a rock high above the lake ....

And from the castle you will have a phantastic view to the lake and its surroundings.

Fred, fantastic page with brilliant photos of this Slovenian gem. Brings back many memories of my daytrip to Bled from Ljubljana. Unfortunately, I missed the Vintgar-gorge. Keep up the good work .. :-)

Fred. I don't think that I have ever seen a more beautiful or more vivid blue than the blues in your photographs! The church, castle, lake, gorge, waterfall...all very interesting and great to read about. Thanks for the tour, which I certainly enjoyed.
