The beach with the lighthouse in the back

It was a wonderful Sunday when we decided to go to the sea! It is not so far from Cognac and I enjoyed this afternoon a lot .... come here and enjoy!

View to the beach

There is also an interesting lighthouse which offers a great view to the beach and the ocean!

I have to apologize of the quality of some pictures here ... all my pics are color slides made with an 200 ASA color reversal film. The quality suffered a little bit from scanning....

The interesting staircase

On the way up in the lighthouse there is an interesting staircase, which is a challenge for each photo-addicted person like me :-))

Pros and Cons

Pros:A wonderful area to make holidays .....
Cons:I couldn´t see any ....
In a nutshell:Great maritime area!

lighthouses are very interesting, in particular, when you can visit them without your sister :-))) another great page, Fred and fascinating pictures of the corkscrew staircase!

Wonderful photos of the staircase!! Lighthouses fascinate me and I live on the sea!!! La Palmyre seems like a great place to visit!

INice page. I like the French Atlantic coast, too. No wonder that a producer of good wines does not pay much attention to the nearby Cognac Brandies are produced from "2nd class" wines - just calculate back from the alcoholic content to the wines...

Interesting lighthouse, the internal photo looks like a shell:-). What a lovely beach and nice day's outting. I love the dunes but not the sand in the car:-)

Excellent page Fred! What a beautiful place!!! Thanks for the tip! The beach and the dunes look great! And I love lighthouses!!! Hahaha, never been in one though. Your staircase photos are fantastic! A photographers paradise indeed!

I would bring a good bottle of wine, something to eat...would climb the stairs as an exercise and would be happy dreaming of Java afterward on the beach.....what a cool place, fantastic presented, tks Fred
