Middle of Nowhere - I can truly say that

Chenega Bay is a 40 minute flight on a twin Navajo plane ride southeast from Anchorage. Over snowcapped mountains and glaciers. We chartered a plane, so I don't know how much a single price ticket roundtrip would be. There is no routine scheduled flt into Chenega Bay, mainly here in rural Alaska, they schedule flts on as needed basis, mail, groceries, number of people. Chenega has a dirt runway which is state runned and very nice. There are 70 people in Chenega Bay, mostly native alaskans, and the mainstay is fishing. There is a hatchery there. A school, a medical facility, NO store, groceries are flown in or barged in.
