Schooner tour

Take a schooner tour to see surrounding islands. The schooner will stop at different islands to give you time to sunbathe on the beach or snorkel in the water. You can even have a cold beer on a beach bar. The scenery along the route of the schooner tour is absolutely beautiful.

Praia do Meio - Trindade

Praia do Meio - middle beach - is great for swimming. Have your lunch here at one of the seaside restaurants. You can hire boats from here to take you to the natural pool nearby.

Trindade

Trindade - or Trinidad in Portuguese - is a must see beach town 30 minutes from Parati. There are several beaches to visit in this area - some with calm waters for swimming, others with waves for surfing. In addition to the beautiful beaches, there is a natural swimming pool closeby. It's called Caxa d'Aco. You can hire a boat for $5 and it will take you directly to the natural pool in minutes. Several boats line the beach. Or you can hike over a mountain (this will take you about 30 mins.) to get to the natural pool for free. Once you get to the natural pool you can rent snorkelling equipment and buy a caipirinha from a vendor set up on the rocks. This natural pool is one of the most amazing sites I've even visited. The pool is created by giant boulder rocks that enclose a small swimming area. You can swim in the "pool" or sunbathe on one of the smooth rocks.
