"The many sides of Mont-Tremblant" Mont-Tremblant by feline01

There are many sides to Mont Tremblant as well a few different locales with this name. Our first stop was the Ville de Mont-Tremblant which we thought was THE Mont-Tremblant but we were quite confused when we didn't see the mont (mountain). Turned out we were in a small village that was created in 200 when several smaller municipalities. The village was very cute and of course, the Linear Park (Le Petit Train du Nord) passes through here so if you're hiking/biking/skiing/snowmobiling, you can enjoy a few hours here or even the night since many hotels are within walking distance of the trail. There are many artists in the village and some interesting looking shops that we didn't stop in. We spent a couple of hours here and asked where the mountain was. We discovered that we were a few miles away So we headed to the Tremblant resort which includes this very touristy pedestrian village seen in the photo on the left. I'm not one for super-tourism sites so we did the minimum here, rode the free VW cable car from the top of the village to the bottom and back and had lunch. The rest of our time was devoted to what makes Tremblant truly wonderful, Mont-Tremblant. We took the gondola to the top and spent hours relaxing, hiking, admiring the amazing view.

This was what I wanted to see in Mont-Tremblant, a vista of undulating mountains covered in pine and other trees. It was so serene and tranquil.
