"2 Women in Verona" a Verona Travel Page by feline01

I visited Verona with my friend Paola (see Milan page). One of the great things about travelling with a local is that you can become a bit complacent. She had been here before and of course, is Italian so I could sit back and relax while she took care of everything. This was during my recovery from an awful respiratory infection picked up on the way to France anyway. Everyone needs a friend like Paola. She listens when needed, is fascinating to listen to and has been there for me for over 11 years now. Okay, back to Verona. I liked this city. The pastel-colored buildings were a pleasure to the eye. The city was large but still had enough places to meander and feel relaxed. Many Roman ruins dot the city and I didn't take pictures of any of them. I think my brain was clogged with whatever Italian medication Paola had plied me with. Still had a great time.
