Sahy is a Slovakian border town that wants to be in Hungary. To me it is a typical eastern European town. The locals are friendly, and there are some good places to eat.
I was there on an archaeological excavation, so was busy most of the time.
Took a couple of weekend trips in Slovakia - the Tatras are beautiful - and well worth a visit
Pros and Cons
- Pros:cheap
- Cons:language barrier / some scary locals
- In a nutshell:a wonderful experience of local eastern European culture
